Hey There!
Welcome to my world In a Website!
I’m Savannah Noth, a first-year Honors student at Bowling Green State University studying Resort and Attraction Management. Over my first year, I have had many opportunities for academic and personal growth. While all of these opportunities have contributed to who I have become over the past several months, a select few have stood out significantly. They characterize crucial lessons I have learned about myself, my values, and my worldview since moving to Bowling Green. I have been able to reflect on these opportunities by creating this website and have turned some of their components into artifacts. These carefully chosen artifacts serve to represent who I am and how I view the world in a manner that also portrays the background as to why I see the world the way I do. This website presents the five most significant artifacts from my current life that best represent my worldview and the values that support it. The artifacts showcased in this website are tickets to plays, my “The Freshman 15” playlist, the movie Howl’s Moving Castle, the color pink, and the picture of me and my brother on the BGSU letters.
These artifacts vary significantly in form and cover a variety of my values. At first, their difference may make them seem uncoordinated, but after reading through their reflections, their discreet connections become more visible and applicable in understanding my worldview. I recommend reading these artifacts in the order they are presented, as they are organized intentionally. Their order will guide you through some of my simpler artifacts before gradually introducing you to my deeper values. This arrangement highlights how I appreciate meaning found in simpler aspects of life, such as my tickets to plays I’ve seen this semester, and in deeper aspects like the color pink and the picture of me and my brother. These simple and profound artifacts work individually to represent specific components of my identity that, as a whole, cohesively display my unique perspective of life. Before reading each artifact, I suggest you consider the quotes I have included above each reflection. These quotes are meant to help guide your thinking toward the values and emotions each artifact represents about my worldview.
Before you dive into the world of Savannah, I would like to thank you in advance for offering your time to view my story respectfully and to understand the world through my unique lens. This is by far the most vulnerable, personal, and meaningful work I have created for an assignment. While I’m delighted with how this website represents the stories, lessons, and values that define my worldview, it was different to openly discuss the situations and lessons that have shaped me into who I am today. I hope that by sharing these artifacts, I am able to provide you with a thorough understanding of why I choose to view the world the way I do. I hope you enjoy my website and appreciate the care I put into showcasing my perspective to the world!
